Kittrie speaks at Georgetown University
<p>Professor Orde Kittrie of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law was a panelist on the topic, “Alternative Approaches to Counter-proliferation Efforts,” on Oct. 29 at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. </p><separator></separator><p>The panel was sponsored by the Georgetown University Institute for Law, Science & Global Security and the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. Other panelists included Professor John Norton Moore, Director of the Center for National Security Law at the University of Virginia School of Law, and Frederick Hitz, Senior Fellow, University of Virginia School of Law and former Inspector General of the Central Intelligence Agency.</p><separator></separator><p>Kittrie’s teaching and research focus on international law, especially nonproliferation and sanctions, and criminal law. Kittrie has testified on nonproliferation issues before both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and recently served as one of 12 members of a special Congressionally-created committee to make recommendations on how to better prevent the proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons.
