Karjala article published in 'Journal'
<p>In its 2009 Symposium Issue, the <i>John Marshall Journal of Computer & Information Law</i> published an essay by Professor <a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=47">Denn… Karjala</a> of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law titled, "Access to Computer Programs Under the DMCA."</p><separator></separator><p>In it, Karjala, the Jack E. Brown Professor of Law and a Faculty Fellow in the College's Center for the Study of Law, Science, & Technology, explored the convergences between technology and information in the critical area of computer programs and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. He concluded that copyright is not designed to protect any particular business model, even one the copyright owner believes will maximize income by controlling the use of copies.</p><separator></separator><p>To read the essay, click <a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/files/Administration/Communication/Faculty_Notes… work in intellectual property, specifically copyright law, is internationally recognized and complemented by his facility in written and spoken Japanese. He joined the College in 1978, and teaches courses in property law, copyright, international intellectual property and intellectual property in cyberspace.
