Karin authors article about military families in 'Rutgers Law Record'


<p><a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=65860">M… Karin</a>, associate clinical professor and director of the Work-Life Policy Unit in the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law's Civil Justice Clinic, has published a paper about efforts to offer increased time off for soldiers and their families during war times.</p><separator></separator><p>&quot;Time Off for Military Families: An Emerging Case Study in a Time of War ... and the Tipping Point for Future Laws Supporting Work-Life Balance,&quot; was published in the Spring 2009 volume of the <i>Rutgers Law Record</i>'s journal of <i>Emerging Trends in Labor and Employment Law</i>.</p><separator></separator><p>&quot;One recent movement to ease some of the impact of war at home and at work is a nationwide push to obtain guarantees for job-protected time off to address the day-to-day realities and other effects of war,&quot; Karin writes. &quot;The law has long provided job-protected time off for reasons related to military service. Her research interests include workplace law, policy and practice, civil justice and litigation, and women's legal history.
