Kader poetry anthology reviewed in 'Green Bag'
<p>An anthology, Poetry of the Law: From Chaucer to the Present, compiled by Professor <a href="http://apps.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=128">Da… Kader</a>, of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, and Michael Stanford, an attorney in the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office in Phoenix, recently was reviewed in <a href="http://www.greenbag.org/"><em>The Green Bag</em></a> a quarterly journal devoted to short, readable, useful, and sometimes entertaining legal scholarship.</p><separator></separator><p>The review, “<a href="http://www.greenbag.org/v13n4/v13n4_review_rains.pdf">Of Cantos & Clerihews</a>,” was written by Robert E. Rains, a professor at the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University, called the anthology long overdue.</p><separator></separator><p>Kader and Stanford will have a reading and book signing at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, at Changing Hands, 6428 S McClintock Drive, Tempe. </p><separator></separator><p>Read more about the book <a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/News/CollegeofLawNews.aspx?NewsId=2712">here</a>…, an affiliate faculty member of the Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and the Melikian Center for Russian, Eurasian, and East European Studies, was an English major in college with an emphasis in poetry. He edited his college poetry magazine, in which he published some poems, and considered pursuing a master of fine arts degree before deciding on law school. </p><separator></separator><p>Stanford, who has a doctorate in English, also edited his college literary magazine and won the Academy of American Poets literary prize for a collection he wrote as a student.
