International focus on water challenges

Arizona State University’s prominent role in water quality research helped bring the International Water Association Leading Edge Technology Conference to North America for the first time.

Experts from more than 50 countries gathered in Phoenix to discuss potential solutions to the challenges of providing sustainable infrastructure for improving water safety, supply and treatment.

Professor Paul Westerhoff, past director of ASU's School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment, appeared on KAET-Channel 8’s Horizon program to talk about the conference and both local and global water issues.
