India-based engineering company opens ASU SkySong office

Targeting Arizona's aerospace industry, an engineering subsidiary of one of India's largest corporations has opened an office in SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center.

Mahindra Engineering Services Ltd. launched the office with one employee and high hopes for winning U.S. aerospace customers and tapping student and researcher talent at Arizona State University.

Kyle Squires, director of ASU's school of mechanical, aerospace, chemical and materials engineering, said the school and its 1,000 students are looking forward to working on projects with Mahindra. The company could tap faculty's experience in testing and simulation, he said, and hire students as interns and employees.
