Hodge delivers lecture to health officials


James G. Hodge Jr., ASU Lincoln Professor of Health Law and Ethics, delivered a lecture in conjunction with the National Association of County and City Health Officials, Oct. 29, in San Francisco.

Titled, “Legal Review Concerning the Use of Health Impact Assessments in Select Jurisdictions,” the lecture was part of a national conference of the American Public Health Association’s "Health In All Policies" section. It seeks to help leaders integrate considerations of health, well-being and equity into the process of policy making.

As director of the Western Region of the Public Health Law Network, Hodge provides extensive technical assistance and other services to public health lawyers, public health officials, practitioners and others across 11 states. He also directs ASU’s Public Health Law and Policy Program, a leading academic center of scholarship and service in public health law and policy nationally.
