Hinshaw to speak at the University of Oregon School of Law


<p>Professor <a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=5328&quot; target="_blank">Art Hinshaw</a>, Director of the Lodestar Dispute Resolution Program at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, will speak at the University of Oregon School of Law in Eugene on Friday, Nov. 6. His presentation, &quot;The Elephant in the Room: A Look at Attorney Negotiation Ethics,&quot; draws from his on-going empirical research looking at whether practicing attorneys follow the requirements of the Rules of Professional Conduct when negotiating.<br /><br />Hinshaw's research and teaching interests lie in the field of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), primarily mediation and negotiation. His research melds ADR theory and practice and includes one of the first published empirical studies of a statewide ADR program in the United States.
