Hessick interviewed about Arizona bill

Associate professor Andy Hessick was interviewed in a Feb. 21 azcentral.com article entitled, “Bill would get rancher off the hook,” by KPNX-Channel 12 reporter Rachel Stockman.

The article discussed a recent Arizona state legislature bill that would bar any Arizona court from awarding punitive damages to an illegal immigrant and could be applied retroactively.

Hessick argued that the new bill would likely to face legal challenges.

"Yes, the legislature might accomplish what it wants to accomplish, but in the process, it's going to face many legal challenges," Hessick said to Stockman.
