Graduates celebrate fall commencement

Anika Hutchinson was honored for her perseverance in pursuing her degree. Hutchinson plans to continue her education and will enter the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College to begin work on a master’s degree in higher and postsecondary education. The initiative, funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, prepares Native early childhood education teachers to serve Arizona’s American Indian children and is directed by Bryan Brayboy, co-director of the Center for Indian Education in the School of Social Transformation.
