Girl Scouts is Changemaker's March partner

The Changemaker Partner of the Month for March is the Girl Scouts – Arizona Cactus-Pine Council.

During the month of March, 10,000 Solutions community members can create solutions answering the Girl Scouts’ challenge question, posed by Natalie Walker, Ambassador Girl Scout from Troop 1664: What can we do to empower young women in our community to reach their full potential?

The top solution will win 10 free boxes of Girl Scout cookies and will be eligible for the $10,000 grand prize. For detailed instructions on how to enter, visit the Girl Scouts’ solution page on 10,000 Solutions.

The Girl Scouts strive to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make our world a better place. Their mission is a reality, as many women leaders once were Girl Scouts. Currently, the Girl Scouts – Arizona Cactus-Pine Council, which covers the northern two-thirds of Arizona, only reaches 5.6 percent of girls within that region. Because of the benefits of scouting, the Girl Scouts want to reach more girls, as they believe that today’s girls are tomorrow’s future.

Changemaker Partner of the Month is a new monthly series launched in January by Changemaker Central. The series seeks to highlight the work of community partners and connect the ASU community more closely to some of the area’s nonprofits.
