Gartner wins prestigious ASIL recognition


David Gartner, associate professor of law, was named one of the American Society of International Law’s top “New Voices” during the organization’s annual meeting in Washington D.C., on March 23-26.

“New Voices” highlights emerging law professionals who have less than seven years work experience in the field of international law. As part of the award, they participated in various panels during the annual meeting.

Gartner teaches constitutional law, international institutions, foreign relations law and global health law and policy. His current research focuses on the role of innovative international institutions and non-state actors in shaping international law and the response to global challenges in areas such as global health, development, education and the environment.
