Gartner to speak at a global seminar in Italy
David Gartner, associate professor of law at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, will speak at the Global Administrative Law Seminar in a lecture titled, “Innovations in Governance: Global health vs. Global Environment,” on June 10 in Viterbo, Italy.
The seminar will focus on the rise of state and local governments seeking alternative options in providing services by partnering with private actors, which create the hybrid public-private actors. The seminar will also discuss the rules and regulations that correspond with these public-private actors.
Gartner teaches constitutional law, international institutions, foreign relations law and global health law and policy. His current research focuses on the role of innovative international institutions and non-state actors in shaping international law and the response to global challenges in areas such as global health, development, education and the environment.
