Gartner to speak at annual ASIL convention


David Gartner, associate professor of law, will speak at the American Society of International Law Annual Convention in Washington, D.C., in a lecture titled, “Innovative Governance and Global Health,” on March 24.

The conference, "Harmony & Dissonance in International Law,” will focus on the evolution of international law and the current paradoxes it operates in.

Gartner teaches constitutional law, international institutions, foreign relations law and global health law and policy. His current research focuses on the role of innovative international institutions and non-state actors in shaping international law and the response to global challenges in areas such as global health, development, education and the environment.
