Gammage offers Camp Broadway discount for ASU employees

Camp Broadway returns to Gammage, June 4-8

Camp Broadway is Broadway’s original summer camp – a performing arts camp for theater-loving children, ages 10 to 17. The camp returns to ASU Gammage this summer, June 4-8, for its 17th year.

The camp sells out every year, so reserve your child’s spot today, by calling 480-965-5062. ASU employees receive a discount – $510 versus $600 – on tuition.

Theatre-loving kids receive an authentic Broadway experience taught by trained Broadway professionals as they learn scenes and songs from two classic rags-to-riches musicals: Oliver! (younger campers) and My Fair Lady (teen campers).

Campers also will have the chance to see the award-winning musical "Million Dollar Quartet" and meet the cast and crew. Camp tuition includes 40 hours of training, breakfast and lunch daily, and tickets to a Broadway show.

“Working in collaboration with ASU Gammage and other theaters across the country, Camp Broadway has become a national brand that parents trust to provide their children with a meaningful and memorable theater arts experiences,” says founder Susan E. Lee. “With the popularity of the musical theater genre, Performing Arts Centers are emerging as the primary source for young people to engage in and learn about Broadway. Camp Broadway is proud to be associated with the talented and dedicated staffs at ASU Gammage who present the best in live entertainment for audiences of all ages.”

The camp fosters teamwork, discipline, commitment and support while introducing kids to the world of Broadway and all the aspects of putting a show together in a professional, interactive and theatrical environment. The weeklong day camp culminates in a final performance, the “Family Finale.”
