Fourth annual Summer Staff Artfest through Aug. 11


Each summer, some of the talented staff members at Arizona State University share their musical and artistic gifts with the community.

Two events have been added to the Summer Staff Artfest, sponsored by The Devils’ Workshop.

On Aug. 10, University Carillonneur William Swayze will perform on the Symphonic Carillon. Come and see the carillon in the lower level of Old Main. Listen to the concert near the Memorial Union.

On Aug. 11, Swayze will improvise on the piano in Organ Hall, Music Building.

Remaining events are:

July 28 – Jeff Rensel shows how to line dance, Union State, Memorial Union.

Aug. 3 – Kevin Snow performs on piano and the Fabulous Fritts, Organ Hall, School of Music.

Aug. 4 – Meet the Artist: Cynthia Milberger, ceramist, Piper Writers House

Aug. 5 – Artificial Red: Randy Kemp and Dean Yazzie perform a unique blend of modern, contemporary and traditional music with a native American storyline on guitar and Native American flutes, Organ Hall, School of Music.

Aug. 5 – Linda Bennett and Carol Webber play Brahms on four-handed piano. Organ Hall, School of Music.

All events take place from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. on ASU’s Tempe campus; locations vary. The Web site calendar is updated as events are added: http://artfest.asu.edu/.
