The public is invited to learn about facilities for weddings, dances and other special events at Arizona State University’s West campus during the campus’s Prom Expo, Monday, Aug. 29 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. ASU’s West campus is at 4701 W. Thunderbird Road; the expo will take place in the La Sala Ballroom and Delph Courtyard of the University Center Building.

“The West campus has been a popular choice for events such as proms, weddings, graduation ceremonies and other social gatherings for the past 20 years,” said Barbara Gibson, assistant director of auxiliary services for Educational Outreach and Student Services.

“Our staff members are committed to meeting the needs of our customers, and our rental rates are quite reasonable,” Gibson said. “And the West campus is a beautiful setting that creates an ideal atmosphere for special occasions.”

Attendees on Aug. 29 will have the opportunity to sample hors d’oeuvres, experience the campus atmosphere and learn about decorating and furnishing options. A DJ will provide entertainment, a photo booth will offer free photos, and vendors and door prize drawings will be part of the festivities.

Those attending the Prom Expo are asked to follow directional signs for parking. There will be no parking fee for attendees.

R.S.V.P.s for the event are not required. For more information, contact Barbara Gibson at (602) 543-7710 or barbara.gibson@asu.edu.
