DeRemer quoted in 'NLJ'
<p>An article in <i>The National Law Journal</i> about the growing popularity of legal externships during the current recession included comments from <a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=316">Ilo… DeRemer</a>, the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law's Assistant Dean for Career Services and Professional Development.</p><separator></separator><p>"Students accept the value of externships in this type of economy easier than they might have previously," DeRemer told correspondent Emily Heller, who wrote the Sept. 7 online article, "The recession makes externships a sweeter deal for students." Her office provides personalized guidance and counseling to students and alumni, as well as numerous resources and programs (both educational and recruiting). She is actively involved in professional job development and outreach in the Phoenix and national legal market. In addition, she has had extensive involvement and leadership roles in the National Association of Law Placement and the Law School Admissions Council.
