Dauntless Drumstix Dash to Benefit Scholarships, Food Banks

The National Agri-Marketing Association, an Arizona State University's Polytechnic campus student organization, and other faculty and staff are hosting the second Annual Dauntless Drumstix Dash>5K and 10K road races, a 10K Challenge Run (for teams of five runners), and a two mile fun walk.

All races will be held on Saturday, November 18, at ASU's Polytechnic campus in southeast Mesa at the intersections of Power and Williams Field roads. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and the races begin at 8 a.m.

Registration cost is $12 per participant for those registering before Friday, Nov. 17. On race day registration fee is $15. All race participants will receive a T-shirt and refreshments, including Indian fry bread prepared by the ASU's Polytechnic campus American Indian Programs students, grilled hot dogs, fruit, lemonade and water.

Racers are asked to bring a canned food item to be donated to the United Food Bank in Mesa. Proceeds from the race will benefit ASU's Polytechnic campus student scholarship funds.

Awards will be given to the top individual finishers in each age and gender bracket. The 10K Challenge Run teams will compete for the Dauntless Drumstix Dash Trophy. The traveling trophy will be awarded annually to the team with the best combined time.
