Dallas Escobedo named Pac-12 Softball Pitcher of the Week


Dallas Escobedo was named the Pac-12 Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week after leading Arizona State to a 2-1 series win over 14th-ranked Washington.


This is the second Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week nod for Escobedo this season (also Feb. 12) and the fourth of her career. With the weekly accolade, ASU now has five conference honors this season and 77 in program history.


Escobedo went 2-0 against the Huskies, holding opposing batters to a .137 batting average in her 14.2 innings worked. The junior allowed just two earned runs and struck out 13 Huskies on a squad that ranked 21st nationally with a .323 batting average prior to the start of the series.
