Cruz to participate in 'Writers on Border Lines'


<p>Professor <a href="http://apps.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=45422">… Cruz</a>, Director of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law’s Immigration Law &amp; Policy Clinic, will join three authors giving unique perspectives on immigration during “Writers on Border Lines,” on Oct. 21. The event, free and open to the public, will be at 7:45 p.m. in the Great Hall on the law school’s Tempe campus.</p><separator></separator><p>Writers Reyna Grande, Alberto Rios and Terry Greene Sterling each will read from their recent works, followed by an open discussion. Grande is the author of two novels, including the critically acclaimed <em>Across a Hundred Mountains</em>. Rios, a Regents’ Professor of English at ASU, has written several collections of poetry, including <em>The Theater of Night</em>. Sterling recently published <em>Illegal: Life and Death in Arizona’s Immigration War Zone</em>.</p><separator></separator><p>The event is sponsored by the Piper Center for Creative Writing.
