Coyle, Escobedo and Freeman earn softball All-America honors


Three Arizona State softball players earned 2013 NFCA Division I All-American honors as announced by the Association on May 29. Amber Freeman,Cheyenne Coyle and Dallas Escobedo represented the Sun Devils on the list of 54 recipients.


Amber Freeman headlined the group, earning her first nod and a spot on the First Team. Dallas Escobedo and Cheyenne Coyle earned Second Team accolades.


This is the first time for Freeman and Coyle to earn All-America and the second time for Escobedo (2011). Under head coach Clint Myers, the softball program has had 19 of the program's 35 total All-Americans.


"We are very excited about the honor," head coach Clint Myers said. "All three have had great years and as a program we are proud of what the team has accomplished. We hope that we can continue the success we've built on through the year as we play in the Women's College World Series."
