Ciganda, Molinaro named to the All-Pac-10 Women's Golf Team


Arizona State juniors Carlota Ciganda and Giulia Molinaro were named to the 2011 All-Pac-10 Conference team, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.

Ciganda, a two-time Pac-10 individual Champion, was named an All-Pac-10 first-team selection for the third-consecutive year. The Pamplona, Spain native is currently ranked sixth in the nation according to Golfweek and most recently finished in third place at the 2011 Pac-10 Championships. Ciganda won individual titles this season at both the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge and the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational.

Molinaro earned her first conference honor, as she was named an All-Pac-10 second-team selection. Molinaro won her first individual title at the Paradise Desert Classic and has finished in the top-10 four times this season.

The Sun Devils will head to Daytona Beach, Fla. as the No. 4 seed in the East Regional. ASU will join Alabama, Purdue and California, among others competing for a bid to nationals at the Legends Course of the LPGA National Golf Course.
