Chodorow, Kornhauser to speak at international conference

Professors <a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=5326">Ad… Chodorow</a> and <a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=50982">M… Kornhauser</a> of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law will participate in "Comparative Tax Law and Culture," an international conference on June 9-11 at the Monash University Prato Center in Italy.<separator></separator>Chodorow will serve as commentator for the paper, "The Public Control of Corporate Power: Revisiting the Origins of the 1909 U.S. Corporate Tax," by Ajay Mehrotra of Indiana University of School of Law. Kornhauser will comment on "The Taxation of Wealth Transfers in Comparative Perspective," a paper by David G. Duff of the University of Columbia Faculty of Law.<separator></separator>The conference is being organized by the Cegla Center for Interdisciplinary Research of the Law at Tel Aviv University, in collaboration with the Tax Law and Policy Research Institute at Monash University.<separator></separator>Chodorow's research and teaching interests lie in tax, administrative and regulatory law. He teaches a variety of tax courses, as well as Law and the Regulatory State. Chodorow's research focuses on religious taxation and a variety of contemporary tax issues, such as the taxability of virtual income.<separator></separator>Kornhauser's research focuses on the intersection of federal income taxation and society, and explores the philosophical, social, political, gendered and historical aspects of taxation.
