Chesler to present at ABA conference in Chicago


Susan Chesler, clinical Professor of Law, will present at the American Bar Association’s 2012 Annual Conference in Chicago, scheduled for Aug. 2-7. Chesler’s presentation “Drafting Guidelines to Turn Form Agreements into Effective Contracts” is part of a program titled “Commercial Law Forms: One Size Does Not Fit All,” which is co-sponsored by the Uniform Commercial Code, Commercial Finance, and Young Lawyers committees of the ABA’s Business Law Section.

Chesler teaches Legal Method & Writing, Legal Advocacy, Contract Drafting and Negotiating, and Intensive Legal Research and Writing. She regularly presents at conferences and CLEs on contract drafting skills, legal writing, pedagogy, and ethical professional identity formation. She is currently developing an interactive web-based teaching tool aimed at incorporating transactional skills, professionalism, and ethics into law school classrooms.
