Carillon Concert to honor those who paid ultimate sacrifice

May 12, 2011

In 1966, Associated Students of Arizona State University gave the university a special gift: A Maas-Rowe Symphonic Carillon. They dedicated that carillon to those in the ASU community who gave their lives for their country.

On May 31, the ASU Carillon Society will continue its tradition of reading those names, from World War I to Afghanistan, at noon in front of the Memorial Union, Tempe campus.

ASU Carillonneurs William Swayze and Kevin Snow will perform patriotic music from noon to 1 p.m.

To see a list of the names, go to http://www.asu.edu/vppa/carillon/memorial.html. To add a name, send the name and war to carillon@asu.edu.
