Bradshaw, Blaha represent ASU at NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships


The Arizona State men’s diving team travels to Federal Way, Wash. for the 2012 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, Mar. 22-24. Seniors Constantin Blaha and Cameron Bradshaw will represent the Sun Devils at the meet.

Blaha, a two-time Pac-12 Champion on the men’s 3-meter springboard, finished third in the nation last season at the 2011 NCAA Championships. After returning to NCAA competition following is appearance in the FINA World Cup, Blaha finished third on the men’s 3-meter at Zone E Championships with a score of 812.95. The native of Vienna, Austria, will represent ASU in the 1-meter and 3-meter events.

Bradshaw qualified for his second-consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships after finishing third on the men’s 1-meter springboard at Zone E Championships. Bradshaw scored a total of 746.60 to qualify to compete in Washington. At the Pac-12 Championships, Bradshaw won the silver medal on the men’s 1-meter springboard and the bronze medal on the men’s 3-meter springboard. Bradshaw will also represent ASU on the men’s 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events.

Blaha and Bradshaw continue in the tradition of excellence that is Arizona State diving. Under current ASU diving head coach Mark Bradshaw, a two-time NCAA Diving Coach of the Year and nine-time Pac-12 Coach of the year, the program has had 11 divers earn a total of four NCAA individual titles and 37 All-American honors.
