Pinch hitter Blair Lowe came home on a wild pitch after reaching via base on balls. The Bluejays held the lead for one full inning before Amber Freeman tied it up 1-1 in the sixth with her fourth home run of the year. Escobedo finished the game with 11 strikeouts.

With a count of 2-and-2 Boyd homered a two-RBI shot to right center to clinch the 3-1 win for Arizona State. ASU finished the Wilson/DeMarini Invitational 5-0.
