Book group to discuss memoir of growing up near Mexico-Arizona border

The ASU Book Group will meet from noon to 1 p.m., Jan. 25, at Piper Writers House to discuss the memoir “Capirotada,” by Alberto Álvaro Ríos, Regents' Professor of English. “Capirotada” is a memoir of growing up on the Mexico-Arizona border, was chosen as the OneBookArizona for 2009 and won the Latino Literary Hall of Fame Award. Ríos will be present to talk about his memoir and other writings.
