Blood donors can win Grand Canyon Railway tickets

All aboard for the Grand Canyon!

All blood donors in April and May will be entered into a drawing to win one of 60 pairs of tickets on the Grand Canyon Railway, valued at $140 per pair. The tickets are being donated by Grand Canyon Railway.

United Blood Services donation dates and times at ASU are:

• Tuesday, April 5, 2-7 p.m., Alpha Kappa Psi, Barret Complex, Cottonwood 101/103.

• Monday-Thursday, April 18-21, noon-4 p.m., south of the Memorial Union by the W. P. Carey fountains.

Sue Thew, communications director for UBS, said, “Blood donors during April and May will help kids like Ryan, an Arizona toddler who is alive today because of more than 35 blood donors.

“Shortly after birth, Ryan was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that prevents his bone marrow from producing red blood cells. He relies on the generosity of blood donors to provide monthly blood transfusions.”
