Big Names featured in Economic Club of Phoenix Speaker Series

<p class="MsoNormal">Valley audiences will get a chance to hear from some major players during the Economic Club of Phoenix’s speaker series this year. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and the head of Eli Lilly and Company are among the headliners.</p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">The Economic Club of Phoenix (ECP) was founded by a group of prominent business executives called the Dean’s Council of 100, in conjunction with the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. The group is now the preeminent Arizona forum for the exchange of ideas about business and the economy. Its monthly luncheons and other activities offer Valley business leaders and others opportunities to network and engage.</p><separator></separator><p>This year’s speaker lineup (subject to change) is:</p><separator></separator><p><b>Wednesday, Oct. 22</b> – Roger J. Dow, president and CEO of the Travel Industry Association</p><separator></separator><p><b>Wednesday, Nov. 19</b> – Sidney Taurel, chairman of the board of Eli Lilly and Compan</p><separator></separator><p><b>Thursday, Jan. 15</b> – Sandra Day O’Connor, U.S. Supreme Court justice</p><separator></separator><p><b>Thursday, Feb. 26 </b>– Gary Loveman; chairman, CEO and president of Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc.</p><separator></separator><p><b>Thursday, March 26</b> – Michael Ahearn, CEO of First Solar Inc. and Dean’s Council of 100 Executive of the Year</p><separator></separator><p><b>April (Date TBA)</b> – Details coming soon</p><separator></separator><p><b>Wednesday, May 20 </b>– Annual Economic Outlook Luncheon</p><separator></separator><p>All of the events run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The first two luncheons will be held at the Arizona Biltmore Resort &amp; Spa. Guests are welcome for a $100 luncheon fee.
