Bell discusses NASA's Mars Curiosity Rover

Mark Brodie, with Phoenix's NPR station KJZZ, interviewed Jim Bell, a professor in ASU's School of Earth and Space Exploration, about NASA's Mars Curiosity Rover. Bell discussed why the rover will be on its own for a little while starting this week and what it will do in the interim.

Bell plays a leading role in the targeting and interpretation of images recovered from the science cameras – Mast Camera (Mastcam), Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI), and the Mars Descent Imager (MARDI).
