Barrett Honors College faculty member to sign book about ASU

Arizona State University by Stephanie deLusé and Denise Bates

Stephanie DeLusé, an honors faculty fellow and native Arizonan, will sign "Arizona State University," a photographic history of ASU, from noon to 3 p.m., June 8, at Costco, 1415 N. Arizona Ave. in Gilbert, Ariz. DeLusé collaborated on the book with Denise Bates, a historian and ASU faculty member.

The book is a photographic narrative of ASU's dynamic transformation from its beginning, as Arizona Territorial Normal School in 1885, to the largest public educational institution in the United States offering hundreds of areas of study and serving more than 70,000 students. It offers glimpses of the committed faculty, staff, students, alumni and citizens who helped make the university the internationally recognized institution that it is today.

Images for the book were contributed by community members and collected from the University Archives, Arizona State University Libraries and the Tempe Historical Museum.

The book will be available for purchase at the signing.
