Jeremy Staat, alumnus and veteran, arrives at ASU during a stop on his "Wall to Wall" bicycle ride across the country to raise awareness and support for veteran services and causes throughout the nation. The tour began at the Wall of Valor in Bakersfield, Calif., Feb. 19, and will stretch 4,623 miles over the course of 100 days to the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. Friend and veteran Wesley Barrientos is accompanying Staat on the Wall to Wall tour. Born in Guatemala, Barrientos enlisted in the U.S. Army upon turning 18 years old. It was during his third tour of Iraq in 2007 that his military convoy was struck by an explosive device, resulting in the amputation of both his legs.

Jacqueline A. Berrien, chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, delivered the 12th annual John P. Morris Memorial Lecture in the Great Hall of Armstrong Hall at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. The John P. Morris Lecture honors John Peyton Morris, a faculty member of the College of Law from 1968-1993. Professor Morris was committed to the principles of justice and equal opportunity and worked tirelessly throughout his life to foster diversity.

Students from the Downtown campus participated in a walking tour hosted by the USGD's Universal Committee. The committee took the students to three local restaurants and a frozen yogurt shop with the goal of introducing students with different majors to one another and introducing them to the downtown area. Two Phoenix Ambassadors helped guide the tour.

Workers are making progress on the new building for the W. P. Carey School of Business on the Tempe campus. The new facility is being built just east of the two existing Tempe business buildings, located near Lemon Street and College Avenue and will primarily serve the business school's graduate students and W. P. Carey honors undergraduates when it is completed in June 2013.
