ASU's Polytechnic campus Sponsors Second Annual Golf Tournament


<p>The Arizona State University's Polytechnic campus PGA accredited Professional Golf Management Program (PGM) is hosting a golf tournament on Friday, Nov. 17, at Toka Sticks Golf Course in Mesa located at the intersection of Williams Field and Power roads.</p><separator></separator><p> Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. and a shotgun start is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Groups/teams and individuals are invited to come out for the event.</p><separator></separator><p> Cost is $85 per person, which includes green fees, cart and food. Prizes will be awarded. Sponsorships are also available in three levels: Par ($250), Birdie ($500) and Eagle ($1,000).</p><separator></separator><p>Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Ken Payne Memorial Scholarship in Professional Golf Management and other academic activities for the PGA accredited program.</p><separator></separator><p> For more information or to register to participate, contact Richard Grinage at 480-727-1017.</p><separator></separator><p>In addition to the tournament, the ASU College of Engineering and Applied Sciences is offering a women's golf clinic. Whether you are a beginner or a scratch golfer, the clinic caters to golfers of all skill levels. The clinic will be run by the Nike Learning Center Professional Staff Members, and will cover aspects of the game such as rules, etiquette, course management, efficient use of practice, woods and irons instruction, and more.
