ASU researchers discuss virtual kindergarten


Arizona State University social scientists weigh in on the pros and cons of virtual kindergarten.

Mary Duggan and Tashia Abry, assistant research professors in ASU's T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics, say that online schooling at a kindergarten level may cause five-year-olds to miss out on critical social development.

"There isn't a lot of research right now on online learning for young children and what the ultimate results will be," says Duggan.
