Sun Devil students’ achievements will be recognized at the third annual Arizona State University Pitchfork Awards, April 3. The awards ceremony will take place at 8 p.m., at the Orpheum Theatre, 203 West Adams Street in downtown Phoenix.

Students, faculty and staff were invited to nominate Sun Devil students and organizations for outstanding accomplishments made during the 2013 calendar year. A selection committee comprised of university-wide faculty and staff will recognize winners in categories such as Outstanding Sun Devil Spirit (Group), Sport Club of the Year and Most Promising New Student Organization. This year, a total of 326 nominations were submitted for 257 nominees in 22 categories.

Students, faculty and staff will also have the opportunity to vote in three Pitchfork Awards categories to help determine a winner. The categories are Sun Devil Spirit Award (Individual), Outstanding Undergraduate Student Organization and Best Recurring Program. Voting will run until midnight, March 20, online at: eoss.asu.edu/pitchforkawards.

Pitchfork Awards tickets are free and available on a first-come, first-serve basis for Sun Card holders and their guests. Tickets can be reserved online at eoss.asu.edu/pitchforkawards through April 2. Attendees are asked to dress to impress and take photos with Sparky on the maroon carpet. Doors open at 7 p.m.
