ASU physicist discusses recent Higgs announcement

Physicists Lawrence Krauss and Brian Greene discuss the Dec. 13 announcement that has captivated the world's science community – that we are closer to locating the elusive Higgs Boson with the help of one Large Hadron Collider machine.

Higgs refers to the subatomic particle first theorized to exist in the 1960s that scientists believe has the power to explain why things have mass.

Krauss and Greene answer questions about the announcement made this week at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and what the new data means for the scientific search.
