ASU phone system upgrade

The Tempe and Polytechnic phone systems will be upgraded from 1-3 a.m., March 21. During this upgrade, no calls into or out of the system can be made, including calls from elevators, call-boxes, and calls made to 911.

Calls made from cell phones will continue to work normally and are the best way to call 911 for emergency assistance during the outage. Calls made to 911 will continue to be routed to the ASU Police Department. ASU emergency services is aware of the outage, and this will not interfere with the normal operation of their duties. Please note that there is a
payphone for use on the Tempe campus on Palm Walk between Physical Education West and the Computing Commons as well as emergency phones at the light rail stations.

ASU is implementing this upgrade during Spring Break to minimize user interruption. Downtown and West campus phones will not be affected.
