ASU named 'best buy school' by college guide

Arizona State University has been named a “best buy school” in the 2011 edition of The Fiske Guide to Colleges.

ASU is included as a best buy school in the guide that includes institutions based on the quality of academic offerings in relation to the cost of attendance. The Fiske Guide to Colleges by Edward B. Fiske features more than 300 of the country’s best colleges and universities. The guide describes schools based on topics such as academics, student life and financial aid.

The guide names 45 institutions — 21 public and 24 private — as best buys this year. These institutions fall into the inexpensive or moderate price category with four- or five-star academic ratings.
