ASU Lodestar Center hosts forum on nonprofit effectiveness


<p>WHAT:         An interactive conference aimed at nonprofit professionals, volunteers, board members and anyone interested in nonprofit collaboration.  The day includes nationally-recognized keynote speakers and break-out sessions focused on collaboration strategies for nonprofits.</p><separator></separator><p>WHEN:         Friday, March 6, 2009 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.</p><separator></separator><p>WHERE:       Hilton Scottsdale Resort and Villas</p><separator></separator><p>                   6333 North Scottsdale Road</p><separator></separator><p>                   Scottsdale, AZ 85250</p><separator></separator><p>WHY:           To provide knowledge and tools to enhance the effectiveness of those who lead, manage and support nonprofits.</p><separator></separator><br />DETAILS:      <p>• At this year’s conference luncheon, the winner of the inaugural $250,000 Collaboration Prize will be introduced.  The Prize recognizes exceptional partnerships between nonprofits.  The luncheon will also include a celebration of the ASU Lodestar Center’s 10th anniversary.</p><separator></separator><p>• Keynote speakers include Carol Lukas, the President of the Fieldstone Alliance, and Paul Luna, the President and CEO of the Helios Education Foundation.</p><separator></separator><p>• Workshop sessions provide a hands-on work with the Fieldstone Alliance’s &quot;Collaboration Handbook: Creating, Sustaining and Enjoying the Journey,&quot; as well as discussions with local nonprofit professionals who have gone through the collaboration process in various sized organizations.</p><separator></separator><p>• The ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation exists to advance nonprofit leadership practice so that organizations can better achieve their mission.
