Astronomy Open House to feature view of Pleiades Star Cluster


<p>What do you know about the planet Jupiter? Or the Pleiades Star Cluster?</p><separator></separator><p>Learn more at this month’s free astronomy open house at Arizona State University, scheduled for 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, on the 5th floor (roof) of the Bateman Physical Sciences Center H-Wing on ASU’s Tempe campus.</p><separator></separator><p>The evening will include a show about Jupiter in the ASU Planetarium, and telescope viewing of the Pleiades Star Cluster and other fascinating objects in the sky.</p><separator></separator><p>There also will be a meteorite display, GEO Club rock activity, astronomy quiz, an “out-of-this-world” poster display and activities for the family.</p><separator></separator><p>Free parking is available after 7 p.m. in the Tyler Street Parking Structure.</p><separator></separator><p>For more information, contact Teresa Ashcraft at teresa.ashcraft@asu.edu, or go to <a href="http://astopenhouse.com/">http://astopenhouse.com/</a>.</p><separator><… support for the event is provided by an ASU NASA Space Grant.</p>
