Astronomy Open House to feature view of Pleiades Star Cluster


What do you know about the planet Jupiter? Or the Pleiades Star Cluster?

Learn more at this month’s free astronomy open house at Arizona State University, scheduled for 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, on the 5th floor (roof) of the Bateman Physical Sciences Center H-Wing on ASU’s Tempe campus.

The evening will include a show about Jupiter in the ASU Planetarium, and telescope viewing of the Pleiades Star Cluster and other fascinating objects in the sky.

There also will be a meteorite display, GEO Club rock activity, astronomy quiz, an “out-of-this-world” poster display and activities for the family.

Free parking is available after 7 p.m. in the Tyler Street Parking Structure.
