Amber Freeman named to Women's College World Series All-Tournament Team


Amber Freeman of the Arizona State softball team was named to the Women's College World Series All-Tournament team on Wednesday after the conclusion of the 2012 season, which saw Alabama take the national title.


This is Freeman's third award for the 2012 season, which saw her also named Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention and to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team. 


With the addition of Freeman, Arizona State softball has had 11 student-athletes named to the WCWS All-Tournament Team.


Freeman finished the 2012 season with a .346 batting average, 12 home runs, 41 RBI and 53 hits. In the WCWS, she led the field hitting .500 (4-for-8) with two doubles and one RBI for a .750 slugging percentage and on-base percentage of .714.
