Abbott serves as visiting professor in Belgium


<p><a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=45983&qu…; target="_blank">Ken Abbott</a>, of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, is currently serving as a visiting professor at the Catholic University of Leuven, the largest, oldest and most prominent university in Belgium.</p><separator></separator><p>He is the first American to visit as part of Leuven's Global Law School, and is affiliated with the university's interdisciplinary Center for Global Governance Studies.</p><separator></separator><p>He will deliver four public lectures and several seminars for students.</p><separator></separator><p>The university was founded in 1425 by Pope Martin V, and refounded in 1835 after the disruptions of the French Revolutionary Wars.</p><separator></separator><p>A leading scholar in international law, Abbott's teaching and research focus on the interdisciplinary study of international law and international relations, including public and private institutions, environmental issues, development policy, global health, and international trade and economic law.
