10,000 Solutions initiative seeks to solve world's woes

ASU's new website called 10,000 Solutions has garnered more than 500 innovative ideas on how to tackle the world's most pressing problems.

"The website is an example of a growing trend in which governments and private companies enlist the support of the public or employees to solve problems," Ryman writes. "The efforts often use cash prizes as an incentive. … ASU leaders will look at the ideas and consider how they can be used to improve the world and the campus."
