“It’s a privilege to be recognized here around such an outstanding group of Sun Devil-led businesses,” said Bryan Young, vice president and partner at Cambridge Companies Inc., as he addressed fellow honorees at the Sun Devil 100 recognition luncheon on Friday, April 25.
Cambridge Companies Inc., a design-build construction company specializing in environmental service facilities, earned the top spot in the $10 million-plus revenue category in the ASU Alumni Association’s Sun Devil 100 Class of 2025.
“It’s an incredible honor—not just personally, but for our entire team at Cambridge Companies,” Young said.
Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, with an additional office in Griffith, Indiana, Cambridge Companies Inc. is licensed in multiple states and has completed over 175 projects nationwide. The company is driven by a mission to build high-performing facilities that support community health, environmental resilience and long-term sustainability.
“What fuels our team is knowing that the work we do goes beyond construction—it creates spaces that serve people, protect natural resources and help shape a cleaner, healthier future for generations to come,” Young said.
Reflecting on his own path to leadership, Young stated that it was a combination of opportunity, mentorship and a willingness to face challenges head-on that led him to his current position.
“During my time at ASU, I was working full time, which allowed me to immediately apply what I was learning in class to real-world scenarios in our business. In time, I was presented with the opportunity to partner in the acquisition of Cambridge Companies, a well-established company with which I had worked closely for years,” he said.
Young completed his MBA through the evening program at ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business in 2014, an experience he said was instrumental to his career growth.
“The program challenged me to think critically, adapt quickly, and lean into collaboration—skills that directly translate to the way our team operates today,” Young said. “ASU pushed me to elevate my thinking, but it's been the team at Cambridge that turns those ideas into reality every day.”
Now a three-time Sun Devil 100 honoree, Young sees this recognition as a testament to his team’s hard work and dedication.
“While I’m proud to be an alum, this recognition reflects upon the collective success of a team that shows up every day with passion, discipline and a commitment to doing things the right way,” Young said. “This is a team win, plain and simple.”
