At the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, students benefit from real-world projects and preparation. Research with faculty at the top of their fields, internships at leading companies and mentorship by industry experts all give students a competitive edge in the job market. At the Innovation Showcase, even first-year students can present the ideas they’ve conceptualized with guidance from industry professionals, paving the way to valuable career opportunities.
Students at the W. P. Carey School of Business are set up for success in business, logistics, finance and more. At W. P. Carey, students go through a guided process of launching fulfilling careers. In 2024, the college hosted more than 185 employers and provided over 500,000 touchpoints for students and alumni to engage. In addition, the college offers the Cooperative Education Program, a three- to six-month learning opportunity for undergrads to work full-time with a partner company to gain valuable skills.
The Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts helps students land jobs in the arts through career support for all students. Advising, mentoring, internships and connections — the Herberger Institute provides what is needed to succeed in the creative arts. Many faculty members work in their fields, and they readily share their industry connections to help students land internships and jobs in creative industries.
The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication helps students secure jobs in journalism. With comprehensive professional branding and career planning services, internships and industry connections, the school prepares students for success. In 2024, nearly 400 students completed internships, and the school hosted 13 different recruiters in 22 visits.
At The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, students receive tailored career support. The Futures Initiative is built to provide support for students in every phase of their college journey. Through career counseling services like pre-health and pre-law advising, as well as internship and research support, more than 30,000 students at The College graduate as strong candidates entering the job market.
At Barrett, The Honors College, students receive career preparation in the top-ranked honors college. Global Honors Flex gives students, including first-year students, the chance to study abroad. The Life Prep program builds essential professional and personal skills. Barrett students work with ASU faculty and are frequently top choices by employers.
