ASU graduate programs ranked among top 10 nationwide

Six graduate programs at Arizona State University are in the top 10 nationwide, according to U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate Programs 2025 rankings released today.
A total of 17 programs made the top 20, including six in the W. P. Carey School of Business.
The JD program in legal writing in the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law rose two places to be ranked third in the nation, ahead of the University of Arizona, Duke University and Texas A&M.

The MBA program in supply chain and logistics in the W. P. Carey School of Business retained its ranking of third in the nation, ahead of Ohio State University, the University of Tennessee and the University of Michigan.
The other top 10 rankings are:
- MBA in information systems, in the W. P. Carey School of Business: No. 8, ahead of New York University, Indiana University and the University of Washington.
- MBA in production/operations, in the W. P. Carey School of Business: No. 9, ahead of Columbia University, the University of Texas and Indiana University.
- JD in the dispute resolution program, in the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law: No. 9, ahead of Stanford University, Columbia University and the University of California, Los Angeles.
“These program rankings demonstrate the breadth of academic excellence across ASU’s colleges and schools,” said Nancy Gonzales, executive vice president and university provost.
“Graduate education is critical in fine-tuning the skills and knowledge of our future executives, policy makers, engineers, legal professionals, and educators," she said. "ASU’s position in these rankings showcases the relevance our degrees have in so many different professional fields.”
The overall public affairs program in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions ranked No. 11, ahead of Georgetown, Ohio State and UCLA.
The overall graduate program in the Mary Lou Fulton College of Teaching and Learning Innovation ranked 20th in the nation. Other top 20 programs in that college were elementary teacher education, No. 11; special education, No. 15; secondary teacher education, No. 16; and curriculum and instruction, No. 17.
The rest of the ASU graduate programs ranked in the top 20 in the nation are:
- W. P. Carey School of Business: international MBA, No. 13; business analytics, No. 16; and real estate, No. 17.
- Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law: health care, No. 13; environmental law, No. 16.
Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering: environmental, No. 15; industrial/manufacturing systems, No. 18.
ASU has ranked high in multiple U.S. News & World Report higher education rankings in the past year, including being named the most innovative university in the country for the 10th year in a row last September — the entire time the category has existed. In January, the university was ranked among the top 10 for best online bachelor’s programs by U.S. News & World Report and had four online graduate programs ranked No. 1.
The U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinion about program excellence and statistical indicators about the schools’ faculty, research and students.
