Workshop presenters needed for leadership conference


ASU is looking for faculty and staff workshop presenters for its second annual Fall Forward Leadership Conference, being held Oct. 2 on the Tempe Campus. The Fall Forward Leadership Conference is designed to bring students from each of the ASU campuses together to develop their leadership skills. Through keynote speakers and workshops, participants will be able to network with other students, identify ways to collaborate, and build the skills necessary to be a successful leader.  This year it will also be hosting an advisors track just for organization advisors.

Workshops are 50 minutes long and begin at 11:30 a.m., 1:10 p.m., or 2:10 p.m. About 300 students and organization advisors from the Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic, Tempe and West campuses are expected to attend.

Presenters for the following topics are needed:

• Leadership (styles, approaches, development, ethics, public speaking, parliamentary procedure)
• Programming/Event Planning (risk management, calendaring, creative programming, budgeting, marketing)
• Empowering Students/Community (motivation, involvement, recruitment, delegation, fundraising, service, civic engagement)
• Personal Care (stress, time management, boundaries, self care)
• Organization Management (group dynamics, problem solving, peer mediation, running effective meetings)
• Multiculturalism/Social Justice (group and individual identity, cultural competence)
• Technology (social networking, org sync)
