Women's tennis wins fourth-straight match over DePaul


<p>The 16th-ranked Arizona State women’s tennis team (12-3) swept the DePaul Blue Demons, 7-0, at Whiteman Tennis Center in Tempe, Ariz. The Sun Devils have now won four straight matches on the season.</p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">Recently, ASU seems to be firing on all cylinders, evidenced by the singles play of senior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/hein_micaela00.html">M… Hein</a> and freshman Jaqueline Cako on Wednesday. Each player swept the Blue Demons, 6-0, 6-0 with out dropping a set, a rare feat in collegiate tennis.</p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">“What do you say about a match like that?” said Hein. “I feel like I’ve been playing well the past few weeks and over the last couple of matches. We’re all in the same mindset and in the zone right now.”</p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">With Hein and Cako closing out their matches quickly, they were available to cheer on the rest of the Sun Devils as they each clinched their singles matches. Senior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/mckenna_kelcy00.html">… McKenna</a> battled hard in the No. 1 spot against DePaul’s Katrina Milinkovic, 6-3, 6-4, with junior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/brycki_michelle00.html… Brycki</a> overcoming a first-set loss to Semla Salkovic to beat the Blue Demon, (2-6, 6-4 (10-6)) in a tie breaker.</p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">“There hasn’t been a match where we haven’t competed well,” said Hein. “It had just been bad luck. Now it’s just kind of going our way.”</p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">The Sun Devils return to Pac-10 play on Friday, Mar. 25 as they travel to Seattle, Wash. to take on the Washington Huskies.</p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">“I think we’re ready.
